The Directors of Charlton Ross and a number of our associates are keen motorcyclists.

Motorcyclists represent a disproportionate number of serious injuries and fatalities on the UK's roads and we are therefore enthusistic supporters of schemes and initiatives which can help reduce casualties on the roads through rider awareness.

WHAT IS BIKESAFE?

‘BikeSafe’  is a Police led motorcyclist casualty reduction scheme engaging with  post-test  riders  to  consider why motorcycle crashes are happening, including   attitudinal  implications.  Five  strong  trends  have  emerged throughout  the  country.  Filtering,  junctions, cornering, overtaking and group  riding  are  problem areas. Really obvious things seem to be placing everyday riders in life threatening scenarios. In the classroom, ‘BikeSafe’ offers  potential  solutions to the most common crash causes using an award winning  DVD  curriculum  and,  as  a  result  of  its short on-road riding element,  results  in  an  individual rider development report which can be taken  to  a post-test training provider. ‘BikeSafe’ is all about ‘Bridging the Gap’ into accredited training.
