Fire Evacuation Drills

Having established your fire emergency plans it is vitally important to evaluate the effectiveness of the plan and any training you may have provided to your staff.

Undertaking a fire drill at predetermined intervals can provide valuable management information in respect to the effectiveness of your plans and your readiness as a business to respond to a fire emergency.

Charlton Ross can oversee the fire drill, planning the exercise to provide maximum management information and benefit. We will produce a detailed report identifying:

Time taken and effectiveness of the overall evacuation,
Weaknesses in the evacuation stratgey,
Any issues in respect to PEEPs which have been put in place,
Defeciencies in the reporting procedures,
Inadequacies in the means of escape provision highlighted by the drill,
Lack of sufficient fire wardens/marshals,
Obstructions to the means of escape,
Audibility of the fire alarm,
Staff awareness of procedures.

Where a premises has means of escape in case of fire comprising more than one escape route, our exercises will be run on the assumption that one of the routes will be unavailable.
